Worldwide there is a growing gap between the rich and the poor, and this is reflected in widening health inequalities with large proportions of populations having poor access to basic public health measures and unable to afford basic health care.  We plan to work through the Peoples Open Access Education Initiative which has signed an MOU with the Public Health Resource Network in India to collaborate on education and training of public health workforce, in order to help build local capacity. Further details will be available shortly and in the meantime, please see Peoples Uni for various courses available to public health professionals in India.

See Manchester Centre for Global Health Volunteering for details of the work being pursued through Manchester.
